A woman died Saturday after apparently falling while picking opihi in Hakalau.

Fire rescue personnel responding t0 the 1:14 p.m. alarm found the woman, believed to be in her 20s, on the shoreline with no sign of life. The shoreline area is located off Highway 19, near mile marker 15, in the vicinity of Hakalau.
