Kona Dance and Performing Arts will hold its Mentor &Me Brunch Benefit on Sept. 16 at The Strawberry Patch Restaurant in Kealakekua.

The benefit will raise funds for the Teen Teacher Assistant Program, a studio-funded program empowering teen dancers through hands on teaching experience and mentorship from professional teachers and choreographers at their nonprofit performing arts studio in Kealakekua.

Youth are encouraged to bring a parent, family member, teacher, or coach who inspire them to enjoy a variety of soups, salads, mini quiche, finger sandwiches, baked goods, fresh fruit, teas, and house made beverages by Chef Amelia Fisher. Teen dancers will gain valuable work experience by setting up, bussing tables, and serving guests during the event. Guests are invited to “dress to impress.”

Two seatings are available at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and seating is limited. Cost is $35 per adult/youth pair, $15 per additional guest.

Call Kona Dance and Performing Arts at 657-4473 to make a reservation and payment no later than Seot. 13.
