Read Aloud Shakespeare meets Wednesday in Keauhou to read “The Bard’s plays.”
During the 6-7:30 p.m. meeting, the group will resume with The Tempest at Act 3, Scene 1. Shakespeare fans should bring copies of the plays. The group takes turns reading and no previous Shakespeare or acting ability is required.

Sayre Foundation Fundraiser Awards Dinner this Saturday
Tickets are still available for the 20th annual Daniel Robert Sayre Memorial Foundation Fundraiser &Awards Dinner at The Fairmont Orchid, Mauna Lani Resort, on Saturday.
The gala evening gets underway at 4:30 p.m. and honors several of the island’s outstanding fire/rescue personnel. The event includes dinner, silent and live auctions, and dancing to the live music of Vizion 20/20. All funds raised go toward the purchase of rescue equipment and professional training for the Hawaii Fire Department.

Mini-workshop covers practical skills for relationship fitness
Andrea Pro hosts a free mini-workshop titled “Dancing with Differences” at 6 p.m. on Thursday in Kailua-Kona.
During the workshop, attendees will learn tips and skills that can help them apply right away to forge trust, cooperation and goodwill in relationships.
This is the second workshop in the series, Practical Skills for Relationship Fitness, offering skills and tools for transforming reactivity and conflict over differences.
Pro is a certified nonviolent communication coach and trainer who enjoys working with people who are ready to get unstuck from relationship pain and conflict, and to create healthier relationships characterized by deepening authenticity, emotional safety, intimacy and trust.
The workshop is at Trunk Trainers, 73-5619 Kauhola St., above the Home Depot.

Helicopter operations prompt closures at KAHO
Trail and closures will be required at Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park in September as crews remove invasive, non-native vegetation at the park via helicopter.
On Friday and Sept. 15, Kaloko Road, Kaloko parking area and Kaloko picnic area will be closed. On Sept. 8 and 22, the visitor center, visitor center parking and mauka/makai trail will be closed.
The closures are from 6-11 a.m.
