An early morning fire Monday caused $900,000 in damage at an unoccupied warehouse in Kailua-Kona.

Fire companies from Kailua-Kona, Makalei, Keauhou, South Kohala as well as a Battalion Chief out of Waikoloa worked to extinguish the blaze inside a Kohanaiki Industrial area warehouse off Hulikoa Street.

Three of five bays were lost to the fire with two others were saved, worth around $450,000.
