Ramona Conner

Ramona Aurora Rodriguez Conner, 78, died Sept. 4, 2017, at home in Keaau. Born July 24, 1939, in Brooklyn, New York, Ramona worked for the New York Police Department at the 111th Precinct in Bayside, before eventually retiring in Hawaii. She was a member of the congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 19 at Homelani Memorial Park.

She is survived by Charles Conner Sr.; children, Charles Louis Conner Jr., Louisa Conner Griffin, Patricia Conner Cooper and Jameal Ayed Conner; grandchildren, Tia Ramona Conner Miller, Andre Ivis Jamison, Kiani Janae Griffin, Janea Necole Jamison, Kalila Janece Griffin and Jameal Conner Jr.; great-grandchildren; sons-in-law; nieces; cousins; nephews; surrogate grandchildren and daughters; and friends.

William Dearborn Sr.

William Roger Dearborn Sr., 73, of Mountain View, died Sept. 12, 2017, at the Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. He was born in Springfield, Mass., and was a food sales manager.

Friends may call at the Carlsmith Beach Park (4 miles) from 5-7 p.m. Sept. 19 for a 7 p.m. memorial service. Casual attire and no flowers

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Dearborn of Mountain View; daughters, Kathleen (Bobby) Riopel of Springfield, Mass., and Candi (Michael) Rescia of Mountain View; son, Joseph Westbrook of Springfield, Mass.; brothers, Denis (Kathy) Dearborn of Springfield, Mass., Edward (Beatrice) Dearborn of Springfield, Mass. and Mark (Kathy) Dearborn of Springfield, Mass.; sisters, Valerie Dearborn of Florida, Sandra Dearborn of Florida and Diana Marcum of Florida; hanai son and daughter, Shannon and Shanti Ribellia of Kurtistown; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and seven hanai grandchildren.

Elizabeth Veriato

Elizabeth “Nina” P. Veriato, 81, of Hilo, died Aug. 2, 2017, in Hilo. Born July 11, 1936, in Hilo, she was a homemaker and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. on Sept. 22 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10 a.m. Mass. Casual attire.

She is survived by son, Shayne (Sonia) Veriato of Hilo; hanai son, Earl Kalawaia Jr. of Hilo; sisters, Marie Benevides of Hilo and Yvonne Vaughn of Palms Springs, California; brothers, Ronald (Iris) Veriato of Hilo and Elwood Veriato of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Segundino Yadao

Segundino “Dino” T. Yadao, 86, of Hilo, died Aug. 27, 2017, at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Facility in Hilo. Born on Aug. 7, 1931, in Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, he was a retired proprietor papaya farmer and member of the Hilo Iloko Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses.

Friends may call on at 5 p.m. on Sept. 22 for a 7 p.m. service. Casual attire and no flowers. A graveside service will be held on Sept. 23 at Alae Cemetery (New Section) at 10 a.m.

He is survived by wife, Carmen Yadao of Hilo; sons, Ernesto (Mercy) Yadao, Rodrigo (Alma) Yadao and Renato (Josie) Yadao of Kahului, Maui, Mario (Merlina) Yadao and Edison (Delia) Yadao of Pahoa, Ludivico (Nely) Yadao of Kona, Hawaii; daughters, Leonida (Ricardo) Cayme of Pahoa, Charity (Dante) Ramos and Carlina (Rolly) Rivera of Kahului, Maui; brother, Juan Yadao of Philippines; 20 grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
