Big Island Out of the Darkness walk approaches
It’s not too late to register for this Saturday’s event to be headquartered at Waimea School’s field. Its purpose is to support suicide awareness, healing, help raise funds for scientific research and aid for those affected by suicide.
Big Island Out of the Darkness will begin with registration at 8 a.m., followed by the walk at 9 a.m. A resource booth from the East suicide task force, vendors, a memory board where family can post their loved ones’ pictures and a bead table will be provided.
To register, go to afsp.org/BigIsland before noon Friday. Walk-ins are also welcome at the event.
