Correction: Darlene Billena Domingo, 65, is also survived by Roland Billena of Laupahoehoe. The survivor was inadvertently omitted by the mortuary in an obituary that ran Wednesday.

Charles Trommer

Charles Richard Trommer, 94, of Ninole, died Oct. 2, 2017, at home. Born in New York City, he was a professor of chemistry and horticulture at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, U.S. Air Force World War II veteran, and member of the Hilo Concert Society, the Viria Society, the Orchid Society and the Navy League.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Oct. 13 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 10:30 a.m. service. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No.2. Family requests no monetary gifts.

He is survived by his wife, Marina Eria Trommer; daughter, Karen Casper; and two grandchildren, Kenneth and Robert.

Norma Ah Tou

Norma Ukie Uemura Ah Tou, 87, of Waipahu, died Sept. 17, 2017, at home. She was formerly from Captain Cook.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Oct. 21 followed by a 10 a.m. service at Yano Hall in Captain Cook. No flowers.

She is survived by her husband, Mervyn Ah Tou of Waipahu; daughter, Evelyn “Evie” Ahlo of Waipahu; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters in law; and many nieces and nephews.

Patricia Windlow

Patricia Ann “Tutu” Windlow, 80, of Ainaloa, died Sept. 28, 2017, at home. Born Feb. 6, 1937, she was a retired animal groomer.

Adriane Kelly

Mrs. Adriane Kelly, 61, of Waikoloa, died Sept. 26, 2017, in Nidda/Bad Salzhausen, Germany. Born Feb. 23, 1956, in Cleveland, she was a sales associate with Walmart Stores. She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. Oct. 10 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Waimea; funeral mass at 9:45 a.m. Casual attire and flowers are welcome.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Kelly of Waikoloa; mother, Lois Hribar of Prescott, Ariz.; brother, Matt (Rose Riesedel) Slak of Waimea; sister, Lynette (Gary) Nichols of Prescott, Ariz.; three nieces, a nephew, and numerous cousins.

Sheng-Ming Cheng

Mr. Sheng-Ming Cheng, 79, of Hilo, formerly of Taiwan, died Oct. 2, 2017, in Honolulu. Born Jan. 10, 1938, in Taiwan, he was a retired professor of civil engineering at Won-Nung Technology University in Taiwan.

Visitation will be 3-4 p.m. Oct. 13 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo for a 4 p.m. memorial service. Casual attire, no flowers or koden.

He is survived by his wife, Pai-Ho “Beata” Cheng of Hilo; son, Dr. Shiuh-Feng “Sherwin” (Marlene Lee) Cheng of Honolulu; daughter, Woan-Ling “Lucy” (Matthew Nash) Cheng of Cambridge, England; brothers, Sheng-Cheng Cheng of Taiwan and Sheng-Po Cheng of Taiwan; sisters, Mei-Shin Chen of Taiwan, Mei-Hui Huang of Taiwan and Mei-Rong Lee of Taiwan; one brother-in-law; two grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.

Raymond Paro

Raymond “Ray” Paro, 85, of North Kohala, died Aug. 25, 2017, at his residence. Born June 15, 1932, in North Kohala, he was a retired irrigation supervisor for Waikoloa Village Golf Course, a former foreman for Puuhue Ranch, and member of Kohala Senior Softball League and Waimea Makule League.

Celebration of life will be 9 a.m. Oct. 14 at Kahua Ranch Deck. Service will begin at 10 a.m. Casual attire.

He is survived by his daughters, Florine Paro of Hilo, Raynae (Leonard) Pang of Hawi, Jody (Joseph) Reyes, Jr. of Ewa Beach; brother, Ernest (Doreen) Paro of North Kohala; sister, Joan Costa of California; daughter-in-law; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Alberto Fidel Fernandez

Alberto Fidel Fernandez, 83, of Waimea, died Sept. 9, 2017, at his residence. Born on July 28, 1934, in Honokaa; he was a veteran in the U.S. Navy and worked at a Tomato farm in Kamuela.

Friends may call from 8-8:45 a.m. Oct. 12 at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Kamuela for a 9 a.m. celebration of Mass. Casual attire; burial to follow at noon at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery.

He is survived by wife, Annie V. Fernandez of Waimea; sons, Mark (Bhelle Bautista) Quitog and Marionne (Joanne Soriano) Vitacion of Waimea; daughter, Xyleanne Althea Vitacion of Waimea; sisters, Erlinda F.
