Angels appear during rainstorm

On Tuesday, Oct. 24, when Kona had that flash flood throughout the day, I was on the bypass road at 8 a.m. on my way to work when I heard an awful noise and rumbling sound. It was a flat tire.

During my wait for assistance, four angels stopped in the pouring rain to see if I needed help. I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart.

In a crazy world filled with hate and violence, it’s nice to know there is love and aloha. Bless those angels. Lucky I live Hawaii.

Pro Trump letter begs response

Hope you left room for humble pie after your dish of revenge. Making an assumption that no collusion has occurred between the Trump campaign and Russia is very premature. I also find it alarming to hear such vitriol directed at Hillary Clinton, even now after nearly a year of Trump being in office.

It’s obvious that you do not know that it was the GOP that initially asked Fusion GPS to put together a dossier with the help of Christopher Steele. Although you call it fake, everything that I have heard is that the majority of the main parts of the dossier have been confirmed, even the existence of the so-called pee tapes. There are still some areas that will be needing further confirmation but the majority of the dossier has held up to further scrutiny.

This continued attacking of Hillary is not productive at all. It’s not warranted for one thing. If Hillary was guilty of anything, she would have been held accountable by now. Trump supports can be totally blind to the many facts and criminal activities of the Trump businesses yet continue to persecute Hillary for things that she never did and that there is absolutely no proof to back up these spurious claims. This type of rhetoric is harmful, prevents any meaningful dialog and only further polarizes things.

Also, getting one’s news from a single source, such as FOX News, is limiting your own understanding of what is happening in the world. Yes, you may only hear it on FOX News and not hear it on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, and CBS for a good reason. They won’t report stories that they cannot confirm. They require a known source and must be able to confirm the source and hopefully also get confirmation from a second independent source before they will publish the story.

Putting your fingers in your ears and yelling “na-na-na-na” will not change the truth. Your fear of hearing the truth will only hurt you in the long run. I think it is time to stop trying to blame others as a distraction to what is going on in real time.
