Tiffany’s Art Agency presents printmaker Andrea Pro for a collector’s reception from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday at the gallery in Hawi.
Hawaii’s native environment is a key inspiration for Pro. Last year, her work caught the attention of the owners of Big Island Bees in Captain Cook, and she was commissioned to create three new images that you’ll soon find available on various items in their museum/gift shop.
Her latest work features the beloved honey bee collecting nectar from the three specific flowers Big Island Bees creates its amazing varietals of honey from — ohia lehua blossoms, macadamia nut flower and wilelaiki blossoms on the Christmasberry tree.

Celtic harp concert Saturday
Kristin Aria Shaw will offer an uplifting solo Celtic harp concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday at The Pyramid House in Kailua-Kona. Her concert provides healing opportunity to engage in high-frequency connection to your heart and angels for yourself and loved ones. All the music is original and composed by Shaw, who is from Kona.

Going Nuts for the Holidays festival returns Sunday
The third annual Going Nuts for the Holidays festival will be held Sunday at Hale Halawai in Kailua Village.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the free event presented by Sanctuary of Mana Kea Gardens will feature music, hula, coconut and macadamia presentations, arts and crafts and more. Music is provided by Dr. Tim’s Medicine Band.
The event is a benefit for KONA 1005 LPFM, a community radio station geared for the people of Kailua-Kona.

Early Music Hawaii Presents ‘Music of Three Faiths’
Early Music Hawaii presents a concert of music from 13th century Spain, “The Music of Three Faiths,” a unique blend of music and poetry from Christian, Sephardic and Moorish cultures this Sunday in Kailua-Kona.
King Alfonso “The Wise” in 13th century Toledo nurtured the three cultures, despite religious differences. A rare chance for the Kona audience to hear both secular and sacred music performed by the esteemed Peabody Consort, of the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, for voice, oud, gittern, ney, recorders and percussion.
The performance takes place at 3:30 p.m. at Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, 77-165 Lako St. General Seating tickets are $25 and Students with ID are $10, available at the door, or online at www.earlymusichawaii.com.

Mark your calendars for inaugural Tiki Festival
Royal Kona Resort, Naked Turtle Rum and Tiki Shark Art Inc. will be hosting the inaugural Tiki Festival on the Island of Hawaii Nov. 16-18.
This star-studded three- day free art event will start at the Royal Kona Resort on Nov. 16 and end at Kozy’s Tiki Palace at The Shops at Mauna Lani on Nov. 18. Throughout the event, attendees will have a chance to meet and talk story with artists, chefs and entertainers. Celebrity artist Brad “Tiki Shark” Parker along with mainland tiki greats, Doug Horne, Ken Ruzic and Tom “Big Toe” Laura will be showing and selling their latest works.
On opening night, from 4 to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 16, the festival will be at Don’s Mai Tai Bar in the Royal Kona Resort. The evening will include music by Grammy Award-nominee Henry Kapono, internationally heralded musician Sean Wilkinson and local favorite LT Smooth will be playing their tunes with celebrity Chef Sam Choy giving out samples of his famous poke. There will also be opportunities to talk story with artists and vendors.
From 3 to 7 p.m. Nov. 17, a wine and cheese tasting will be held at Kozy’s Tiki Palace. Attendees can talk with the artists and art will be available for sale.
From 2 to 6 p.m. Nov. 18, the festival wraps up at The Shops at Mauna Lani with an event featuring more than 40 vendors, artists, food booths, tiki bars and live music.
SKEA sets annual ‘Da Kine Wine &Dine’ fundraiser
The Society for Kona’s Education and Art holds its annual “Da Kine Wine &Dine” fundraiser on Nov. 18.
The event will run 5-8 p.m. at a home overlooking Kealakekua Bay. It will feature fine wines for tasting, supper, live music and entertainment and silent auction. Proceeds support SKEA’s mission of bringing high quality and affordable activities in the arts to the people of South Kona.
For more than 36 years, SKEA has provided high quality activities in the arts to more than 1,000 students annually through two main programs: the Art of Learning (our school program), and Art Camps for children and teens during the school breaks. The programs give young people, as well as adults and families, the opportunity to strengthen their talents or learn new things with ongoing classes and workshops. SKEA, a nonprofit, also hosts community events like the Mauka Talent Show, Music on the Lawn and Quilt Show.

Event benefits Rotary’s campaign to rid world of polio
Rotary Club of Kona Mauka holds Palettes for Polio, a fundraiser for PolioPlus, Nov. 18 at Rumley Art Gallery in King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel in Kailua-Kona.
The 5-7 p.m. will feature 50 pallets with original artwork from 50 artists on the island that will available for silent auction. All funds raised will go to Polio Plus, Rotary’s campaign to rid the world of polio. In addition, Tess Rumley will be donating 15 percent of all sales at the gallery during the function.

APAC offers 2 workshops
If you have ever dreamed of auditioning for a show at the Aloha Theatre, but were hesitant, Aloha Performing Arts Company has a workshop for you. On two Saturdays, Nov. 11 and 18, from 10 a.m. to noon, Emma Zeiler will share the skills of basic auditioning technique. The two-session workshop will include cold reading, movement, and audition protocol and etiquette. The objective of the workshop is to provide students with the necessary requirements to present themselves at an audition with poise and confidence.
A related workshop, dealing specifically with dance auditioning, will be offered on two Saturdays: Dec. 2 and 9, also from 10:00 a.m. to noon. This two-session workshop will cover the basics of dance for the stage and give participants a sneak peak at choreography for “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.” Instructor is Amanda Trusty, artistic director of Kona Dance and Performing Arts.
