Technicality replaces cupping winner

There was a disqualification of the first place winner in the 2017 Kona Coffee Cultural Festival cupping competition in the commercial division. The farmer did not have 1,000 pounds of coffee to sell and entered the wrong division by accident, the event’s organizers said.

The updated commercial division winners are:

• 3rd — Kona Kulana Farms

• 2nd — Imagine 100% Kona

• 1st — Arianna Farms ‘Ono Kona Coffee LLC
