The King’s Daughters turkey giveaway went off without a hitch, as it does every year.
The group gives away the turkeys every Saturday before thanksgiving and has been doing so since 2004 and handed out dozens this year.
The only requirement to pick up a free turkey is proof of Hawaii residence. It also supplies the Domestic Women Shelter with a turkey for every staff member and up to three turkeys for the residents depending on the bed count.
The charitable organization also provides during the Christmas season. Anyone looking to donate can call 937-5940 or email kingsdaughters@hawaii.rr.com
