Domian Seina

Domian “Damien” Seina, 77, of Pearl City, Oahu, and formerly of Honokaa, died Dec. 1, 2017, at Kaiser Hospital on Oahu. Born in Honokaa, he was retired from the state Department of Land and Natural Resources Forestry Division, a 1957 graduate of Honokaa High School and U.S. Air Force veteran.

Private services to be held.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Navor Siena of Pearl City; sons, Scott (Christine) Seina of Tigard, Ore., Byron (Gayle) Seina of Honolulu and Mark Seina of Honolulu; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Newton Arciga

Newton “Eddie” Maikai Arciga, 59, of Honomu, died Nov. 9, 2017, at Liliha Healthcare Center on Oahu. Born in Honokaa, he was self-employed and a member of Living Waters Assembly of God.

Friends may call from noon-1:30 p.m. Dec. 30 for a 1:45 p.m. celebration of life at the Honomu Hongwanji Mission, 28-1658 Government Main Road.

He is survived by son, Newton Arciga; brother, David Arciga (Chuck Wolfe); sister, Jackie (Robert) Tanoue, one granddaughter; nieces; nephew; grandnieces; grandnephew; uncles, aunties and cousins.

Wesley Kahakua

Wesley “Chief” Kahakua, 58, of Hilo, died Dec. 22, 2017, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was employed at UH — Hilo Auxiliary Services and Big Island Candies in Hilo and a past member of Hilo Jaycees, UPW and American Red Cross (East Hawaii).

Friends may call at 6 p.m. Dec. 29 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 7 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center, 1011 Waianuenue Ave., Hilo, HI 96720.

He is survived by sisters, Laurine (Lionel) Carvalho of Volcano, Maurine Pineau of Maui; brothers, Jeff (Kam) Kahakua of Kona, Steve (Grace) Kahakua of Guam; numerous nieces, a nephew, grandnephews, grandnieces, uncles, aunts and cousins.

Albert Zielinski

Albert Zielinski, 84 of Waikoloa, died Dec. 17, 2017. Born June 27, 1933, in Manhattan, N.Y., he served in the Marines and worked as a radio technician for Pan Am Airlines.

Private services will be held.

He is survived by wife, Addie; daughters, Michelle Zielinski of Waikoloa, Marlene Matthews of North Carolina and Cheryl (Michael) Ferraro of Clifton Park, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.
