KAILUA-KONA — A Puna man is facing sex assault charges stemming from an assault reported last month.

On Wednesday, Keith K. Hulihee, 55, was charged with second-degree sexual assault and fourth-degree sexual assault. He is being held at the Hilo cellblock in lieu of $30,000 bail pending his initial court appearance in South Hilo District Court scheduled for this afternoon.

According to Hawaii Island Police, the assault was reported on Dec. 30, 2017 and occurred in the Volcano area.

On Jan. 2, authorities issued a press release stating Hulihee was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The release also requested assistance from the public in locating the Puna man.
