Hawaii needs to hire better

Yes, the false alarm of Jan. 13 has probably been vented enough. The bottom line is, this negligent mishap would/should not have happened if Hawaii had hired competent and qualified personnel in all departments throughout the state to begin with.

It has long been a joke that Hawaii does not hire qualified individuals, but rather relatives only. Isn’t it time some of these employees and department heads be made accountable for their actions? Reassigning an irresponsible person to another area for possible screw up is simply is simply not acceptable.

Hysteria needs to be dialed back

I am amazed at all the hysteria over the missile threat. The belief that such a threat was real defies logic.

1. Rocket Man has discovered our current president will destroy any missile he would launch to the USA including Guam or Hawaii, along with all his missile infrastructure.

2. We have the capability to shoot any missile North Korea would deploy before it got close to Hawaii.

3. The military has been testing the technology to shoot down missiles for 20 years at Barking Sands Kauai.

4. The Pacific fleet deployed in the waters off South Korea and Japan have over 100 anti-missile weapons ready for Korean attack.

All the hysteria spread by the media and politicians was disgraceful. We have the resources to prevent a missile attack from North Korea. A reasonable, intelligent person would have recognized the warning as a hoax or mistake.

Relax, citizens, we are safe — not a big deal because of a simple mistake.

Confidence in Trump

Well, just like clockwork the smartest businessman president has laid the groundwork for the U.S. economy to flourish! Obama used $1 trillion from the treasury as a stimulus that did nothing. He gave 80 percent of the money to unions and retiree pensions, etc. and hardly any of it went to the infrastructure, which is still dilapidated to this day.

In contrast, The Trumpster has delivered every promise that he made in his campaign and now that the corporate tax has been drastically lowered many great corporations are making the moves. Hundreds of the evil corporations are giving bonuses, raises, offering higher pay for future employees, building new business properties, and repatriating billions, which will create mega dollars for our treasury.

Trickle-down economics is in full swing folks, yet the liberals are focusing on comments Trump makes and how he isn’t presidential. Bill Clinton is their moral compass and they really think they are to be listened to.

Every single Trump voter will vote for him today and polls show another 20 percent will secretly vote for him in 2020. The economy is the most important factor in our upcoming victory in 2018 even though the Dems think Americans will vote Democrat simply because they want to get rid of Trump and increase taxes and reinstate the thousands of job-killing regulations Trump has deleted.

It is going to be another sweet victory in 2018 when the Dems will cry again.
