“Myths & Legends of Pre-Contact Hawaii” will be the subject of historian Boyd Bond’s one-hour talk at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at North Kohala Public Library in Kapaau.

His knowledge of Hawaii’s history stems from his academic studies and lifetime spent in Hawaii as a sixth generation descendent of early western settlers in Hawaii. Bond was raised in Hawaii in a sugar plantation family, living on plantations throughout the state. All are invited to attend the free event.
