Kohala High School team wins award at Hawaiian Electric Companies Hawaii State VEX Robotics Championships

Nineteen robotics teams from across Hawaii achieved significant scores and demonstrated exceptional skill and performance at the Hawaiian Electric Companies Hawaii State VEX Championships at Kamehameha Schools Kapalama Campus in Honolulu Jan. 13 and 14.

Team Na Paniolo of Kohala High School in Kapaau won the Create Award, which recognizes a robot with a creative engineering solution at the VEX middle/high school event. They are wait listed to compete in the VEX Worlds championship in Louisville, Kentucky this April.
