PUUANAHULU — With a brush fire looming only a few miles away, teams rolled into the Puuanahulu Recreation Center Saturday to weigh and measure their catch for the seventh annual Keiki of Da Aina annual Pig Hunting Tournament.
Keiki hunted with four-person teams at their favorite spots throughout West Hawaii, perpetuating Hawaiian culture.
Spirits were high as 67 teams descended upon the Recreation Center for the weigh-in. Prizes were given for heaviest pigs and longest tusk.
The biggest pig weighed was a 178 pound sow taken by team Run em Down Hard.
