David Bowe

David A. Bowe, 78, of Waipio Valley and Honokaa, died March 15, 2018, at Hale Hoola Hamakua. He was born in Canton, Ohio, and worked for Timken Company in Canton and Pacific Union Metal in California.

Friends may call 6:30 p.m. March 22 at the Honokaa Salvation Army for a celebration of life ceremony. For further information contact CSM Gary Todd at 333-1248.

He is survived by his son, David E. Bowe; sister, Marge Dadisman; brothers, Dennis Bowe and Thomas Bowe; several nieces and nephews.

Euloqio Verdejo

Euloqio Madamca Verdejo, 77, Waimea, died March 13 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born June 2, 1940, in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a vegetable farmer and a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa.

Friends may call on March 24 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa, visitation 8-10 a.m.; celebration of Mass at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at the Church Cemetery. Casual attire, flowers and lei are welcomed.

He is survived by wife, Precila Verdejo of Waimea, and formerly of Bacsil, Laoag City, Philippines; daughters Rosel Verdejo (Dandel) Oriol of Okinawa, Japan, Cassandra Verdejo of Kona, and Noralyn Verdejo of Waimea; sons Ariel Verdejo and Michael Brian Verdejo of Waimea; one grandson, Renji Jameson Oriol of Okinawa, Japan; sister Faye Anastacio of Honokaa; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
