The public is invited to join the free gathering at 7 p.m. April 25 in the Dyer Library on Hawaii Preparatory Academy’s upper campus.
This month’s author is not only a Big Island native but is also an HPA teacher, Sara Ackerman. Her novel, “Island of Sweet Pies and Soldiers,” takes place in 1944 as World War II threatens American soil and will be the focus of this month’s meeting.
