Kudos to the unsung deliverer…

I’d like to add my thanks to those of a previous writer for the great paper delivery service here at CCV in Keauhou.

Based on our experience with prior delivery personnel, the last several months of delivery has truly been outstanding — at the door instead of “in the bushes.” Truly service-oriented!

Thank you and mahalo.

…And no kudos for no delivery

I am very concerned about not receiving all of my mail. My bank statements have not been delivered to me. My bills and advertisement mail seem to always be delivered, but not my bank statements from my credit union.

Each time my statements have been returned to the credit union I am charged $5. I now have to go to the credit union to pick up my statements. The person at the credit union said my statements were returned noted with “no such street” and “temporarily away.”

I wonder who makes the determination that I am away when I am not and how could I be temporarily away if there is no such street? I am at the same address I was when I got my statements for the last two years. A friend said that his statements from American Savings Bank are always returned to the bank and he has to pay a $5 mail returned fee, too. This problem has been brought to the attention of the post office several times.

If the post office will not observe its motto, “We Deliver,” it ought to change it to “We Deliver Sometimes” or even, “We Deliver What We Want To.”

How many other citizens have this problem? I hope it can be corrected as soon as possible.
