Advanced Ukulele meets from 9:30—11 a.m. every Tuesday with Aunty Marjie Spencer, and welcomes experienced players of all ages to bring their ukulele and join in a morning of friendship and song.

Tutu’s House Writers’ Support Group meets from 10 a.m.—noon every Tuesday. Interested persons are invited to join new writers to published authors of many genres: fiction, non-fiction, essays and poetry. Share something you are currently working on with this interesting group in an encouraging place to explore your writing voice.

Knitting &Knitting Support is from 12:30—3 p.m. every Tuesday with Gretchen Geisler, a lifetime knitter. This class is for all skill levels ages 10 to adult. Bring projects, get knitting questions answered and visit with other knitters. Beginners will be guided into a suitable project.

Positive Care Communications for Adult Family Members will be shared from noon-1 p.m. May 8. Gina Tumasone, a West Hawaii Mediation Center case manager, and Karyn Clay, a gerontological specialist and founder of Ho‘o Nani Adult Care Services, are collaborating to educate family and community members about this important support service. Most older adults require some form of family care planning and coordination. Adult children, siblings, spouses and extended relations are often forced to juggle changing needs regarding physical care along with financial and legal issues. Learn about supportive services available around structured conversations and family agreements that can assist with this process.

Beginner’s Yoga will be held from 4-5 p.m. May 8 and 15 with Kiyomi Falcon. Yoga has both preventive and therapeutic benefits. It increases body awareness, relieves chronic stress patterns and muscle strain, relaxes mind and body, centers attention, sharpens concentration and frees the spirit.

Fibromyalgia Help is available from 10-11 a.m. May 9, hosted by patient and personal researcher Carol Buck. For help solving the many unusual problems that come with fibromyalgia, come talk story with Carol to discover more about the condition to work more effectively with a physician.

Parkinson’s and Neuroplasticity Wellness Support will gather from 1-3 p.m. May 9. Individuals with Parkinson’s and other neurological challenges, along with their partners or caregivers, are encouraged to attend this support group/talk story. Discussion focuses on personal experiences, community and PD-related topics including current research. This group welcomes new and visiting participants and medical professionals.
