North Hawaii Community Hospital (NHCH) has four scholarship opportunities for students going into the health care field. The deadline to apply is May 18.
The Peggy Dineen-Orsini Scholarship offers $2,000 to a resident of Hawaii County enrolled in or accepted for enrollment in a National League of Nursing accredited program in Hawaii or on the mainland. Two $1,000 scholarships funded by NHCH medical staff are offered to Hawaii County residents who demonstrate financial need. A $3,000 scholarship is funded by Hawaii Emergency Physicians Associated, Inc. for a graduating high school student with demonstrated financial need.
Applicants must be high school seniors from North Hawaii high schools and enrolled full-time during their scholarship year. Applications are available online at www.nhch.com under the Community/Education Scholarships tab.
