Lions Club of Kona present scholarships
The Lions Club of Kona showed its support of community youth by presenting five scholarships for continued education to these graduating seniors of Konawaena High School.
• Ryan Ogi — $1,000 Cal Kona Produce Award
• Christianne Abella — $1,000 Lion William &Bertha Paris Memorial Scholarship
• Mark Inouye — $1,000 Lions Club of Kona Scholarship
• Taggart Nakamoto- $1,000 Lions Club of Kona Scholarship
• Andrew Allred- $1,000 Lions Club of Kona Scholarship
The scholarship awardees were five of many applicants applying for the club’s annual scholarship program. They will be honored at a general membership meeting at 6:30 p.m., July 16, at Teshima’s Restaraunt, second floor.
