HELCO announces new Pahoa location for customer services

KAILUA-KONA – Hawaii Electric Light Co. announced Wednesday it will be opening an office once a week in Pahoa amid the ongoing eruption along Kilauea Volcano’s lower East Rift Zone.

The company’s Customer Care team will be stationed at the Pahoa County Council Office, 15-2879 Pahoa Village Road, every Thursday starting this Thursday to assist customers in the lower Puna area.

Company representatives will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. to provide information on electrical safety, emergency preparedness, restoration and customer accounts and billing.

HELCO also provides the latest information for customers affected by the eruption and for those who may have questions about billing and service during the emergency on its website at https://www.hawaiielectriclight.com/lava. Customers also may call 969-6999 for questions regarding their electric account.
