Abortion and religious freedom

America is a land “supposedly” of freedom of religion. These days, it is hard to know if this is the case when people like Trump act as if Christianity in its “many different forms” is the religion of the state or national religion.

You, of course, have the freedom to express your opinions. You do not, however, have the right to impose your beliefs on other peoples lives. While you object to abortion, I do not see you objecting to our nation’s regime change wars that kill millions of people worldwide and many thousands of our own troops.

No respect

As one of Roseanne Barr’s neighbors of the property she owns in Waimea, I have to say that I am saddened that the former Kamuela Museum, that was once a showplace for island artifacts and Hawaiian culture, is now in Roseanne’s racist hands.

I am glad that ABC has canceled your show. Roseanne, did you not consider how many hard-working people on your show might lose their jobs because of your disgusting, ignorant, and racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett? Ms. Jarrett brought grace, class and honor to the last administration. No one in this current White House of lies and insults can hold a candle to Valerie’s intelligent dedication to that high office.

Roseanne, Malama i kou kuleana.
