NORTH KOHALA — Available now through July 14, the summer reading program’s theme this year is “Libraries Rock,” with a variety of activities for all ages.

At 6 p.m. June 18, and every Monday night thereafter, a family film rated PG will be open to ages 5 and up beginning with “Coco” that night, “Ferdinand” June 25, “Rock Dog” July 2 and “Wonder” July 9, including a special book versus movie discussion for those who read it prior to the showing.

On July 11, a special capoeira martial arts interactive workshop with Mario Hill will begin at 1 p.m. Children will have the opportunity to learn about the history of capoeira, some basic movements, an introduction to musical instruments and a capoeira song.

At 4 p.m. July 16, the library will have a final summer reading celebration with a special guest performance by Neil McIntyre, aka Mr. Kneel, an award-winning hip hop musician and educator. An ice cream party will follow the show.
