Anthony Arbles

Anthony “Pops” Primus Arbles, 80, of Moirton Camp, Papaikou, died June 4, 2018, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a retired warehouse clerk for the Hawaii State Department of Education and member Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and Kats Athletic Club.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. June 15 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Alae Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by brothers, Joseph (Evelyn) Arbles of Paukaa, Patrick (Chrystine) Arbles of Hilo; numerous nieces and nephews.

Marcos Julian

Marcos Lucas Julian, 95, of Pahoa, died May 28, 2018, at Hilo Medical Center. Born on Dec. 18, 1922, in Banna, Ilocos Norte, Philippines; he was a former employee of Puna Sugar Company and he was a self-employed Papaya and Noni Farmer. He also was a member of the Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Friends may call on June 16 at the Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Visitation from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.; celebration of Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire; flowers are welcomed. Burial at the church cemetery at 11:30 a.m.

He is survived by wife, Antonia Julian of Pahoa; sons, Juanito (Dolly) Julian and Willian (Catherine) Julian of Pahoa; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three-great-great-grandchildren; brother, Cayetano Julian of Pahoa, sisters, Veronica (Dante) Pagala of Keaau, Placida (Juan) Felipe of Oahua nd Florentina Vicente of Philippines; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Albert David

Albert “Bouty” Steven David, 57, resident of Kailua Kona, died in Holualoa on June 3, 2018. Born in Honolulu on Sept. 23, 1960, he worked as a tour bus driver.

Funeral services will be held on June 15 at Kona Gospel Chapel in Kealakekua with public visitation at 8:30 a.m., services at 9:30 a.m., and burial to follow at Kona Memorial Park.

Alexander Durante

Alexander Durante, 92 of Hilo, died June 5, 2018. Born on July 31, 1925, he was a retired Merchant Marine and employed by the United States Navy at the Naval Air Station Pearl Harbor during World War II. Former resident of Holiday Retirement Home in Hawaii Kai on Oahu. Member of Kuliouou Rosary Group on Oahu.

Memorial service to be held 5-7 p.m. July 14 at Ballard Family Moanalua Mortuary on Oahu.

Survived by sister, Elizabeth P. Kaiama of Waikoloa; and numerous nieces/nephews, grand nieces/nephews and great-grand nieces/nephews.

Eulogio Sablan

Eulogio “Jun” Pangelinan Sablan, 61, of Mountain View, died May 23, 2018, in Hilo. Born Feb. 6, 1957, in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands; he was an automotive technician.

Celebration of His Life will be held at a later date, as will a scattering of cremains.

He is survived by wife, Leslie “Dawn” Miller-Sablan of Mountain View; daughters, Dyanna (Chase) Sablan of Pahoa, Naomi Sablan of Guam and Erin (Bobby) Tanaka of Texas; sons, Dyllan Sablan of Mountain View, Derwin Sablan of Guam, Royale (Kehau) Pajo of Keaau and Ricky (Guxy) Pajo of Fairbanks, Alaska; brothers, Alexander P. (Mila) Sablan of Saipan and George P. (Akina) Sablan of Texas; sisters, Ana P.S. (Romeo) Yutig of California, Patricia Sablan of Texas and Diane Sablan of Virginia; nine grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Donald Seaton Jr.

Donald “Don” Cameron Seaton Jr., 94, died May 6 at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was the proprietor of Greenhouse Specialists Keaau, cultivation superintendent for Paauhau Sugar, Hamakua Sugar and Laupahoehoe Sugar, a member of New Hope East Hawaii, and a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War.

A visitation will take place 11 a.m. to noon June 15 at New Hope Hilo Church; a Celebration of Life will take place at noon. Family requests Hawaiian/casual attire and to omit flowers.

He is survived by daughters Donna Smith of Salinas, Calif., and Julie Ingman of Keaau; sons Tom (Rosie) Seaton of Honokaa, Phillip Seaton of Keaau, and Scott (Michele) Seaton of Stayton, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
