The Hawaiian Cultural Center of Hamakua announces summer youth program

Hana Ku’una Hawaii is a weeklong cultural enrichment summer program The Hawaiian Cultural Center (HCCOH) will host from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays beginning June 25 through 29.

The summer experience will give youth ages 9 to 18 a wide variety of Hawaiian learning with hands-on arts and crafts, music, dance and community service projects. The cost is $50 per child, or through trade. No child will be turned away. Children will need to bring their own lunch.

HCCOH will also host E Ola Mau I ka Pono Summer Youth Leadership camp July 13-23 for children of the same age group. Family discounts are available for more than one child, in addition to scholarships for the youth leadership camp. Space is limited.
