KAILUA-KONA — Highway 190 is closed near mile marker 18, north of Puuanahulu, because of a brush fire.
The Hawaii Police Department said the highway, also known as Mamalahoa Highway, is expected to remain closed for about two hours.
Firefighters are currently on the scene battling the blaze.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
