Robert Farnham

Robert “Lopaka” James Farnham, born Nov. 3, 1955, in Hilo, died at Straub Medical Center in Honolulu. He was 62 years old. Robert worked at Walmart and was a groundskeeper at Holualoa Villas in Kona. He also worked for Ritz Heating and Cooling in Michigan.

He is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Lorrraine Farmham and his brothers Donald Jr. and Edward Farnham. He is survived by his sisters Carolyn (James) Frye of Kona; Barbara Cline of Michigan; brother Wayne (Cami) Kahulamu of Kona, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at a later date.

Paul Tam Sing

Paul Napua Tam Sing, 82, of Hilo, died on May 11, 2018, in Hilo. Born Dec. 28, 1935, in Hilo, he was a painter for Oahu Painting and a member of Gospel of Salvation-Hilo. His hobbies and passion were singing, playing ukulele and spending time with family and friends. His number one passion was being with his pets.

He is survived by spouse, Janet Eskaran Tam Sing; sons, Paul John (Antanette Gomera) Tam Sing of Ewa Beach, Phillip (Gizelle Kealoha) Kahele of Hilo, Wesly (Sheila Ettinger) Tam Sing of Hilo, Edward Tam Sing of Honolulu; daughters, Lee Anne Pua Tam Sing Takahashi of Honolulu, Jadelyn Tam Sing Fujitake of Las Vegas; sisters, Prisilla Dolly Tam Sing Kahele of Hilo, Teresa Momi Tam Sing Kahele of Hilo, Myra Tam Sing (Edward Boteilho) of Kohala; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Services June 30 at Hilo Missionary Church, 1044 Komohana St., Hilo. Viewing at 10 a.m., service 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Casual attire.

Toshiyasu Kishimoto

Toshiyasu Kishimoto, 96, of Hilo, died May 29, 2018, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Papaaloa, he was a retired carpenter and retired from the UH Auxiliary Service. For 25 years he was the patriarch of Two Ladies Kitchen. He demonstrated the importance of hard work and supporting loved ones in their endeavors. He was a member of the Hilo Hooganji Mission, Hui Okinawa, Piihonua Kumiai and Carpenters Union Local 745.

Friends may call 4-5:30 p.m. June 30 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel; memorial service at 5:30. Casual attire. No flowers.

Survived by wife, Sachiko Kishimoto of Hilo; daughters, Charlene (Glenn) Matsuda of Hilo, Nora (Norman) Uchida of Hilo, Joan (Glenn) Matsuoka of Honolulu; son, Ted (Yvonne) Kishimoto of Honolulu; brother, Hideyoshi “Bill” (Alice) Kishimoto of Honolulu; six sisters-in-law; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces &nephews.

Lucille Sesson

Lucille Gonsalves Sesson, 85, of Pahala, died June 2, 2018, at Ka’u Hospital in Pahala. Born Sept. 26, 1932, in Hawaii, she was a retired hostess for the Volcano House Restaurant and a cashier for the Curio Shop in Volcano. She also was the owner of L&G’s Laundry and a member of the Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Friends may call on June 30 at Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.; celebration of Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire; burial to follow at the Pahala Catholic Church Cemetery.

She is survived by daughter, Germaine (Daniel) Camba of Pahala; sisters, Loretta Enyeart of Arizona, Anna (Larry) Jones and Margorie Pedra of Naalehu, Florence (Lynn) Paiva of Honokaa; brothers and sisters in law; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
