Rotary Club of Kona tackles 2018

Rotary Club of Kona is on the move for another terrific year. This year’s theme is “Be the Inspiration,” working together to inspire the world.

On Thursday, the Rotary Club of Kona held its annual change of leadership induction ceremony and catered dinner at Kona Vistas Pavilion. This year’s new president, Tom Bierlein, and new board of directors were sworn in.

On July 4, Rotary Club of Kona will support Fire Company No. 7 in lower Palisades with a pancake breakfast fundraiser, 7-10 a.m., for the dedicated men and women of the Fire and Rescue Company. At 6 p.m. that day is the annual Fourth of July parade, organized by Rotary and featuring Rotary members in many volunteer positions.

Kona Rotary Recently had a work day for Hospice, helping spruce up its storage container, and painting picnic tables and benches for its children’s camp.

Kona Rotary Club meets every Thursday from noon to 1 p.m.
