Leonell “Madahs” Laureen Leimomi Kuali’i, 65, died June 13, 2018, at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. She was retired as a bus driver for H.C.E.O.C.
Friends may call on July 21 at Haili Congregational Church, 211 Haili St., in Hilo for visitation from 9-10 a.m. followed by services.
She is survived by husband, William Kualii Sr.; children, William Kualii Jr., Shayne (Claudine Perreira) Kualii Sr., Kimberlee (Shannon Demello) Kualii-Demello, Shawn Kualii, and Kuuleii (Preston Endo) Kuali; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Edwin Aguair Sr.
Edwin P. “Eddie Boy” Aguiar Sr., 87, of Hilo, died July 5, 2018, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was a diesel mechanic for the former Theo. H. Davies who later retired as an equipment operator with the County of Hawaii Department of Public Works, a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
Friends may call 5-6 p.m. July 22 at the Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 6 p.m. wake service. Friends may also call 8:30-10 a.m. July 23 at St. Joseph Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire.
He is survived by sons, John (KellyRae) Aguiar and Edwin (Arlette) Aguiar Jr., all of Hilo; daughters, Ann (Anthony) Tanabe and Mary Jane (Douglas Jr.) Rapoza, all of Hilo; sisters, Jan Vierra of Pahoa, Thelma Kahakua of Mountain View and Carol (Daniel) Crall of Florida; brother-in-law, Richard Kahalewai of Hilo; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; uncles, John Aguiar and Henry Aguiar, both of Hilo; cousins; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Martins
Dorothy Martins, 93, of Keaau, died June 17, 2018, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a cook for the former Orchid Isle Hotel, retired as housekeeping manager with the former Hukilau Hotel and an adult supervisor at Pahoa High School, and also a member of New Hope Church Puna.
Friends may call 1-2 p.m. July 22 at the Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 2 p.m. funeral service. Friends may also call at noon July 23 at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 for a graveside committal service. Casual attire.
She is survived by sons, Gerald (Frances) Martins of Pahoa and Robert (Sharon) Martins of Keaau; brother, John (Bobbie) Santos Jr. of Arizona; sister, Janet Ayala of Honomu; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

McWarren Mehau
McWarren “Mac” Joseph Mehau, 87, of Glenwood, died June 21, 2018, at home. Born April 8, 1931, in Hilo, he was a retired U.S. Army staff sergeant serving during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War, a volunteer at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Operations Christmas Child, an entertainer for Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home, and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo and the Kawaihae Canoe Club.
Friends may call 5-6 p.m. July 23 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 6 p.m. service. Friends may also call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on July 24 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo; Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.

Rodney Wong
Rodney K.W. Wong, 77, of Kailua-Kona and formerly of Hilo, died June 18, 2018, at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Hilo, he was a musician, music arranger, educator and a trombonist with the Hawaii County Band.
Friends may call 11-4 p.m. July 23 at the University of Hawaii at Hilo Performing Arts Center. A celebration of his life will begin at noon. Casual attire. Fellow musicians are welcome on stage to share their musical gifts in a farewell tribute during the Celebration of his Life. In lieu of flowers and Koden (monetary gifts), donations in memory of Rodney K.W. Wong may be made to a charitable organization of your choice.

Margaret Webster
Margaret “Bunny” Burns Webster, 100, of Ahualoa, died June 12, 2018, at home. Born in Paia, Maui, she was a master Hawaiian quilter, member of the Daughters of Hawaii, painter, gardener and lover of cats and horses.
