Boy Scout Court of Honor for 7 Boys from Troop 15

On Sunday, Troop 15 held a long-overdue Eagle Scout Court of Honor for 7 young men, Cameron Ventura, Ian Denzer, Connor Harrington, Geoffrey Hand, Kauhi Keliiaa III, Mark Inouye, and Ryan Ogi. The delay was caused by part of the group starting their first year at various colleges. Cameron Ventura at Linfield, Ian Denzer at Yale, and Geoffrey Hand at UC San Diego.

Through the years this diverse group of young men have stayed together, some since preschool. They made a pact to finish their scouting career together despite their varied backgrounds. Five are products of Kona Hongwanji Cub Scout Pack 12 under Glenn Hirowatari. One came from SNI Cub Scout Pack 15 under Todd Ichishita. Four graduated from Konawaena High School, two from Kealakehe, and one from Makualani Christian Academy. They all finally united at the SNI Truth of Life Church, joining the Boy Scouts of America, Aloha Council, Troop 15 under Scoutmaster Terry Terada.

Through all their years, they have supported each other so their entire group could become Eagle Scouts. Yano Hall, Life Care Center of Kona, Son Shine Preschool, Kona Daifukuji Soto Mission, Makualani Christian Academy, Kona Community Hospital, and SNI Truth of Life Church reaped the benefits of their Eagle Projects.
