From 5:30-7 p.m. Aug. 1, the Hawaii Writers Guild will share an evening of original readings by its members at the Thelma Parker Library in Waimea. Presenters will include Bruce Stern from Waikoloa Village; Jada Tan Rufo and Greer Woodward, both from Waimea; Paul Bryant from Laupahoehoe; and Virginia Fortner from North Kohala.

Stern will read from his soon-to-be-published tech thriller, “The Fuel Saver Project: A Peter Jones Story.” The four other featured members will also read from their writings, and audience members will have an opportunity to question them about their work and writing lives.
