KAILUA-KONA — Waikoloa Road is open to traffic, according to Hawaii County Civil Defense.
Motorists traveling along that road must turn left on Route 190 toward Waimea, however, as that road remains closed from Waikoloa Road south to Puu Lani Ranch. Route 190 remains open to local traffic only from Kaiminani Road north to Puu Lani Ranch.
Civil Defense is advising drivers to be cautious in the area as there may be smoke on roadways.
