WAIMEA — Dr. Mark Villarin is the newest addition to North Hawaii Community Hospital’s team of physicians and certified nurse midwives at their Women’s Center.

His professional interests include family planning, adolescent health and smoking cessation during pregnancy.

Dr. Villarin grew up in Honokaa and is a graduate of Honokaa High School and Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California. He completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine.

He is board eligible, American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a junior fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Villarin is also a member of the American Medical Association and the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
