Larry Kagimoto,

Larry Akio Kagimoto, 74, of Kurtistown, died July 16, 2018, at home. Born in Hilo, he was retired from HELCO.

Private services were held.

He is survived by daughter, Lori Ann Shimabukuro of Honolulu; sons, Gannon (Lori) Kagimoto of Honolulu, Gavin (Lezlie) Kagimoto of Kurtistown; and three grandchildren.

Leslie Aburamen

Leslie S. Aburamen, 66, of Hilo, died Aug. 16, 2018, at the Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo and was an insurance agent with Atlas Insurance Company, avid fisherman and golfer, member of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Born Losers Golf Club, Sportsmen Golf Club, and a former member of the Hawaii Island Contractors Assn.

Friends may call 9-11 a.m. Sept. 8 at the Dodo Mortuary chapel for an 11 a.m. memorial service. Graveside urn committal service 1 p.m. at the Alae Cemetery. Casual attire.

He is survived by his wife, Roxanne Aburamen of Hilo; daughter, Kim (Dana Okazaki) Aburamen of Hilo; sister, Gayle (Wesley) Hatada of Hilo; one sister-in-law; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.

Theodore Medeiros, Sr.

Theodore William Medeiros, Sr., 80, of Hilo died Aug. 1, 2018, at home. Born in Olaa and a lifelong resident of the Big Island, he worked as a lane mechanic for the former Hilo Lanes Bowling Alley, an electronic technician for Les T. Corp &Happy Hawaiian Amusements, and also served in the Hawaii Army National Guard and the Hawaii Army Reserve. He also belonged to the Ancient Order of Foresters-Court Mauna Kea 8854.

Friends may call 5-6:15 p.m. Sept. 14 at the New Hope Hilo at 840 Kupulau Road, Hilo for a 6:15 memorial service with military honors by the Hawaii Army National Guard in Hilo. Casual attire; flowers and lei are welcomed. An urn committal will be at a later date.

He is survived by wife, Shirley A. Medeiros of Hilo; daughter, Debra (David) Cabarloc of Kurtistown; sons, Theodore “Ted” Medeiros, Jr. of Kauai, Randall “Randy” (Kehau) Medeiros of Hilo and Paul (Cindy) Medeiros of Mountain View, brother, Carl (Agnes) Medeiros of Fremont, Calif., two sisters-in-law; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
