Wilmet Lorenzo
Wilmet Steven Lorenzo, Sr. 90 of Pahala, died Aug. 23, 2018, at Hilo Medical Center. Born on Jan. 8, 1928, in Pahala, he was a U.S. Army veteran, worked at the Ka’u Plantation, a bulldozer operator for Mizuno and retired from the State of Hawaii DAGS Department. He was also a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Pahala and the U.P.W.
Friends may call 8-10 a.m. Sept. 15 at Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass to follow. Casual attire.
Wilmet is survived by his spouse, Loretta A. Lorenzo of Pahala; daughters Belinda (Jeffrey) Kahapea of San Antonio, Bernita (Nelson) Kaupu of Ocean View, Bernay (Antoni) Lorenzo of Pahala; son, Wilmet “Bozo” (Emma) Lorenzo Jr. of Pahala; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews.

Howard Hinds
Howard Kaulana Hinds, of Kailua-Kona, died Aug. 28, 2018, in Kailua-Kona. He was born in Honolulu on Aug. 9, 1990. Howard worked as a researcher for the Forestry Service.
Private services will be held.
He is survived by parents, Howard and Michelle Hinds of Kamuela; brother Liko (Kyoko) Hinds of Kamuela; sister, Ona Hinds of Kamuela; paternal grandmother, Trissa Ramento of Portland, Ore.; and maternal grandparents, James and Margaret Kamanu of Mountain View; one newphew.

Russell Lawrence, Sr.
Russell David Lawrence, Sr., 56 of Hilo, died Aug. 7, 2018, at Hilo Medical Center. He was born on July 25, 1956 in Hilo.

He is survived by his spouse, Stephanie Lawrence of Hilo; son, Russell D. (Sheena) Lawrence Jr. of Hilo; daughters, Shawntayne K. (Steven Fogg) Lawrence of Hilo, Shawntel K. (Preston Mercado) Lawrence of Hilo, Sharnell K. Lou Anne Bondaug
Lou Anne Bondaug, 74, of Hilo, died Aug. 28, 2018,at Pohai Malama. She was born in Tomahawk, Wisc., and was a homemaker.
A memorial service will take place 6-9 p.m. Sept. 8 at Ballard Family Mortuary. Family requests casual attire.
She is survived by spouse, James Bondaug, Sr. of Hilo; daughter, Monica Bondaug of Reno Nev.; sons, Scott (Bianca) Bondaug of Reno, Nev., and James Bondaug, Jr. of Hilo; brothers, Joseph (JoAnne) Nokes of Two Rivers, Wisc. and James (Susan) Nokes of Sheboygan, Wisc.; sister, Alberta (James) Chaloupka of Two Rivers, Wisc.; two grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
