The Friends of Thelma Parker Library in Waimea are seeking patrons interested in volunteering for the semi-annual state library system Count Week Oct. 23-27.

Hour-long periods are available for counting the number of patrons coming into the library, or to roam the library, picking up and counting items left behind by the patrons and reminding patrons not to put items back on the shelves after looking at them. Sixty percent of the library’s supply funding depends on the number of patrons who use the library that week, as well as the additional Count Week in April.

For schedule information, call the library during open hours at 887-6067 or Carol Buck at 885-9718. There is also a sign up sheet at the Circulation Desk.
