Nora Hao

Nora Kauhane Kaalanuiahina Hao, 75, of Kalaoa, died Sept. 26, 2018, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Aug. 10, 1943, in Kealakekua, she was a security officer for G4S and Wackenhut Security Services.

Visitation will be held at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 20 at OTEC beach at Keahole. The service will begin at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. The family requests casual attire and flowers are welcome.

She is survived by hanai daughter, Sheri-Ann Oliveros of Kalaoa; hanai sons, James Hao and Scotty (Alexus) Hao all of Kailua-Kona and Christopher Farley of Honolulu; hanai brothers, Albert Mitchell of Kalaoa, and Charles Ware of Molokai; hanai sisters, Patricia Chong, Vivian (Mathew) Kaili, and Doreen (Lawrence) Mills all of Kalaoa, Juliette (Allen) Lucena of Kealakehe, and Sally Ware of Waianae, Oahu; half sisters, Alice (Kevin) Gray of Hilo and Brenda Dorsey of Florida; six hanai grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kaydee DeRoy

Kaydee Yumi DeRoy, 7 months, 5 days old, of Keaau, died Sept. 21, 2018, at Hilo Medical Center. She was born on Feb. 16, 2018.

Private services were held. The family requests that koden (monetary donations) and flowers be omitted.

She is survived by parents, Michael and Kellsie DeRoy; grandparents, Robert DeRoy, Darlene (Noel) Ide, Donn (Kamsun) Onouye and Jan (Blake) Sanehira; great-grandparents, Miriam (Allan) Buck, Masako Sanehira and Betty (Richard) DeRoy.

Nora Luke

Nora Luke, 79, of Hawi, died Aug. 14, 2018, at home. Born Oct. 24, 1938, in North Kohala, she was a retired practical nurse at Kohala Hospital and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi.

Private services were held.

She is survived by sisters, Ruby Fukuyama of Arizona and Jane (Charles) Kircher of California; brothers, Stanley (Madeline) Gonsalves of Kohala and Dennis (Carol) Gonsalves of Hilo; one sister-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Edwin DeSa III

Edwin “Brada” “Eddie Boy” DeSa III, 41, of Pepeekeo and Fern Acres, died Sept. 18, 2018, at home in Pepeekeo. He was born in Hilo in January of 1977.

He is survived by his father, Edwin DeSa Jr. of Pepeekeo; mother, Sherry DeSa of Fern Acres; and his sister, Marlene DeSa AKA DeSa A. Smith of Killeen, Texas.

Carrie Austin

Carrie Lynn Austin, 57, of Kailua-Kona, died July 1, 2018, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Nov. 23, 1960, in San Jose, Calif., she was retired.

A celebration of life will be held at noon Nov. 1 at OTEC Beach. Additional service information to follow on Facebook.

She is survived by daughter, Amber Catlett of Tracy, Calif.; son, Nicholas Catlett; mother, Verna Catlett; brother, Daniel Austin; sister, Michelle Evans all of Kailua-Kona; numerous nieces and nephews.

Anne Marie Wainwright, 82, of Ocean View, died Oct. 8 at her residence. Born Aug. 4, 1936, in Zurich, Switzerland, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by sons, Lance Wainwright, Derek Wainwright both of Ocean View; brother, Carl Seiler of Switzerland; a granddaughter, four great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

Trineice Mancuso

Miss Trineice C.R. Mancuso, 18, of Ocean View, died Oct. 3, 2018, at the Kona Community Hospital. She was born in Lebanon, Ore., on May 18, 2000. She was a student at Ka’u High School.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 14, 2018 at Manuka State Park on Highway 11 near Ocean View. The family requests casual attire.

She is survived by her mother, Shylynn Silva of Ocean View; father, Ian Mastin of Louisiana; sister, Lanissa Silva of Ocean View and numerous other family members.

Ralph Albarado, 79, of Hilo, died in Hilo Sept. 29, 2018. He was born in Waimea, Kauai.

Brittney Uilani Helena Perry, 19, of Naalehu died Sept. 21, 2018, at the Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Hilo.
