HONOLULU — Fire officials say two people have died in a house fire Wednesday in Honolulu.

Honolulu Fire Department spokesman Capt. Scot Seguirant says firefighters responding to the Wednesday blaze in the Kaimuki area found two people dead.

He says an adult was found in the garage and a child was found in the living room. He doesn’t yet know their ages or genders.

Seguirant says the fire at the single-story house on Luakaha Street was reported a little after 8 a.m. and has been extinguished.

He says it’s not clear if anyone else was in the home at the time of the fire.
