KAILUA-KONA — The Hawaii County Fire Department is investigating the cause of a structure fire in Ocean View on Sunday.
Firefighters responded to a report at 2:21 p.m. of a fire at a single-story residence at 92-8707 Bamboo Lane. All occupants were out of the structure prior to arrival of seven Hawaii County firefighters. The fire was out at 4:50 p.m.
While the roof of the structure was still intact, the structure was deemed extremely unstable, and officials advised owners that the roof was still in danger of collapsing.
