Yoga Basics with Janet Lam meets from 8-9 a.m every Monday. Start the week feeling balanced, flexible and strong. This class includes fundamental yoga poses, and although not specifically a beginner’s class, the movement sequence can easily accommodate students new to yoga or returning to a yoga practice.

Knitting &Knitting Support meets every Tuesday from 12:30-3 p.m. with Gretchen Geisler, a lifetime knitter. This class is for all skill levels ages 10 to adult. Bring projects, get knitting questions answered and visit with other knitters; stay as long as possible. Beginners will be guided into a suitable project.

End of Life Matters meetings will be held from 3-4:30 p.m. Nov. 8, 15, 29, Dec. 6 and 13, run by Bobbi Bryant, an End of Life Doula/trainer. This series of five 90-minute classes will help educate residents on how dying can be approached differently. By bringing the conversation about death out of the closet and into the light, attendees will learn how to be more intentional about choices regarding living and dying.

Zumba Gold in a chair will meet from 10:30-11 a.m. this Thursday and Nov. 15, led by Renée Morinaka, a licensed instructor. This class is for those who have mobility or balance issues, but still love to move and dance. It includes stretching to upbeat music, and activates hand, arm, leg and body movements. The group sits during the entire class. Bring water, a towel and wear covered shoes.

Senior Fit Club will be at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 5, 19, and 26 with a variety of modalities on DVD to choose from. Physical activity is one of the most important steps to can take to improve and maintain good health. Studies show that people who stay active are more likely to live longer and remain independent.
