Rodney Theodore

Rodney Michael Theodore, 70 of Pahoa, died Oct. 13, 2018, at home. Born Jan. 12, 1948, in Honolulu, he was a retired bus operator of 21 years with TheBus and member of the Teamsters Union.

Services to be held Monday, Nov. 5 at Borthwick Mortuary – Mauka Chapel at 1330 Maunakea St., Honolulu. Viewing 10:30-11:30 a.m. with service 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Nadine” Theodore of Pahoa; sons, Nadrod Theodore of Honolulu, Rodnad Theodore of Honolulu, Rodney Theodore, Jr of Honolulu; daughters, Corinna (David) Chong of Honolulu, Lauralyn Fa’afia of Honolulu, Serena Theodore of Honolulu; brother, Robert (Darlene) Theodore of Honolulu; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Debra Isabel

Debra Kehaulani Isabel, 45, of Pahoa, died Oct. 14, 2018, at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born Sept. 23, 1973, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was an eligibility worker II for the state Med-Quest Division and a former educational assistant for Pahoa High School and Hawaii Academy of Arts and Science. She was the Merrie Monarch Queen in 2009. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pahoa Ward and a member of Pahoa Higashi Machi Kumiai.

Visitation will be held from 8-10:30 a.m. on Nov. 3 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1605 Orchid Land Drive, Keaau. Funeral service at 11 a.m.; cremation to follow. Casual attire.

Survived by husband, Slade Isabel, Sr. of Pahoa; daughters, Lexus (Kallan Amaral) Enriquez-Isabel of Pahoa and Camry (Richard Range) Isabel of Pahoa; son, Slade Isabel, Jr. of Pahoa; mother, Winifred “Winnie” Enriquez of Pahoa; his parents-in-law; brothers, Lloyd (Jo Ann) Enriquez of Pahoa and Brian Enriquez of Pahoa; sisters, Denise (Les) Hauanio of Pahoa and Brianna Enriquez-Cabalis of Pahoa; 4 grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
