Popular orchestra players visit Hawaii
Early Music Hawaii presents Holiday in Paris: Music of Telemann and his French hosts by Tempesta di Mare Chamber players, 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity on Lako Street.
The Chamber players of the fabled Philadelphia Baroque Orchestra, heard frequently on HPR, bring their popular program of sonatas, suites and quartets by one of the most prolific composers of all time, Georg Philipp Telemann, and by French composers who inspired him during his early 18th century stay in Paris.

Hula through the photographer’s lens at Volcano Art Center
As a part of a month-long celebration of hula arts at Kilauea, the Volcano Art Center presents “Experiencing Ancient Hula Through the Photographer’s Lens” at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The evening program will feature images by world class hula and documentary photographer Dino Morrow, as he shares the beautiful photographs he has taken during various hula performances, as well as tips and best practices on how to capture these intimate hula images.
Morrow is a documentary and portrait photographer who specializes in candid shots of indigenous and local cultures.
