Attendees will jubilate in the holiday season with Halau Malanai under the direction of Kumu Hula Liana Leiʻilima Aveiro at the annual Christmas Calabash entitled “Nani Ke Ao Nei” at 2 p.m. this Saturday at Kahilu Theatre.
The annual Christmas production has been a joyous tradition in Waimea since 1995. Special guest artists Kumu Hula Keikilani Curnan and Halau Waiau, Kumu Hula Lelehua Bray and Halau Hula Maunalei, and Megan Minotti’s Dance Academy will meld the past and the present through hula, chant and dance at the show.
