Rosemary Coughlin

Rosemary Coughlin, 87, of Keaau, died Nov. 20, 2018, at the Hilo Medical Center. She was born in California.

She is survived by sons, Robert William Coughlin II, James Patrick Coughlin II, Joseph Wayne Coughlin, and Jay Hutchingson Coughlin; daugthers, Tina Mary Orr, Tonya Marie Miller, and Tamara Marcella Collins; brother, Michael Ronald Scott; 61 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Elijej Emji

Elijej Emji, 47, of Hilo, formerly of Marshall Islands, died Nov. 20, 2018, at Hilo Medical Center. He was born on Sept. 22, 1971, in Marshall Islands.

Private services held.

Survived by his sons, Jiem Emji, and Elton Emji of Hilo; brothers, Kajo Clarence of Arkansas; sister, Rutha Muller of Arkansas.

Joleen M. Simao

Joleen M. Simao, 72, of Hilo, died Nov. 21, 2018, at Hilo Medical Center. Born on July 15, 1946, in Hilo, she was a vice president and Manager of CW Maintenance Company and she also was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.

Friends may call 8:30-10 a.m. Dec. 11 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10 a.m. memorial Mass. Casual attire; flower lei are welcomed.

She is survived by sons, Dean Simao and William Simao of Hilo; daughter, Tracy (Dayne) Bolos of Hilo; sister, Sharon Samson of Honolulu, numerous grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Felicidad Mercado

Felicidad “Tillie” Hilda Mae Mercado, 84, of Hilo, died Nov. 9, 2018, at home. Born on May 3, 1934, in Hilo, she retired from C. Brewer Chemicals and Fertilizer Company and she also was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.

Friends may call 5-6 p.m. Dec. 14 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for a 6 p.m. wake service. Friends may call again 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 15 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for a noon prayer service. Casual attire. Burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Alae Cemetery, Section J.

She is survived by son, James (Leah) Mercado of Hilo; daughters, Belinda (Primo) Castro of Honolulu and Vannessa (Randy) Apele of Hilo, 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Angeline Torres of Washington; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
