Auntie’s Angels holiday events
Auntie’s Angels of Big Island celebrated three recent events for the holidays — a low-income senior luncheon and food handout, a pizza party of Hookena Elementary School with gifts for teachers and staff, and a teachers appreciation lunch at Kahakai Elementary School.
The charity’s main sponsor, Kona Elks Lodge #2616, and the community’s generosity made them all possible.
Kona student makes MVC dean’s list
Missouri Valley College announced its dean’s list, featuring Kailua-Kona student Leisha Sachie Nakagawa, a senior in nonprofit agency management.
The requirements for the dean’s list were a 3.3 or higher grade point average; at least 12 graded hours for the semester and no “D,” “F,” or “Incomplete” grades for the semester.
