Aloha and happy 2019 tomorrow as you read this last one for 2018! It will be short because I want to go surfing, golfing and bike riding! And if you think I can still do all that, you’re nuts!

Just joking … In fact it is time for some one-liners! … If you have not been diligent about your fitness, then you did not require a pillow for your Santa’s suit this year! … OK, you animal/pet lovers: All year long your cats have a litter box. But only in December do dogs have a Christmas tree! … What’s the difference between baseball and politics? In baseball you’re out if you’re caught stealing! … Another political one? What this country really needs is more unemployed politicians!

When a father asked his young son what he wanted for Christmas, the little boy replied, “A baby sister!” As it turned out, his wife was pregnant and delivered on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day she brought home a brand new baby sister for their son. The next year, when the dad asked their little boy what he wanted for Christmas, the boy said, “If it would’t make Mommy too uncomfortable, I’d like a pony!”

A young man with a nagging secret just couldn’t kept it any longer. In the confessional he admitted that for years he had been stealing building supplies from the lumber yard where he worked. “What did you take?” asked the priest. “Enough to build my own house, my son’s house and our cabin at the lake!,” he responded. “This is very serious,” replied the priest. “I shall have to think of a far-reaching penance! Have you ever done a retreat?” “No father, I haven’t, but if you can get the plans, I can get the lumber!”

Coming to a close, my friends, here’s one last joke to take you into the New Year: Don’t worry about getting older. You’re still gonna do dumb stuff … just slower! Ouch!

And as one big request from all of you, I am asking you to e-mail me your favorite joke ever! Yep, send one to docbint@gmail.com. And yes, I will use some of them, but not with your name. Promise!

Have a grand 2019 … Stay happy and healthy and do good deeds. Aloha, a hui hou.
