HILO — The first medical marijuana dispensary on the Big Island opens today in Hilo.

Big Island Grown Dispensaries passed its final inspection with the Hawaii State Department of Health earlier this week, allowing the business to proceed to sell cannabis.

The business opens its first location today at 750 Kanoelehua Ave. in Hilo, with additional locations in Waimea and Kona to open by the end of the month.

In celebration of its grand opening, the business will offer discounted patient appreciation pricing while supplies last.

Big Island Grown will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week.
